Estalian Knight for Mordheim / Warhammer FB

This miniature has been painted to either lead or be the second in command of my Mordheim warband, a band of Estalian cut-throat conquistadors. Now it's not the best painting in the world, and there's still bits I need to tidy. But I'm pretty happy with it overall. I first started wargaming in 1996, but have never really enjoyed painting. And despite putting together reasonable sized forces over they years, I've hardly ever painted them (on average it's probably, 1 maybe 2 miniatures a year - that bad). But I'm very much of the mindset that the only way to get better at something is to do it. And make those mistakes. So I've started painting more, and I'm actually enjoying it...

I was going to make his armour a little more rusty, but decided against it as that run down look has been done plenty. Instead, I wanted to give him a campaign look - he makes the effort to look after his armour and fine appearance (he's a smug git), but the realities of life on campaign sometimes get in the way of that.
